How can we determine the sample that is containing chloride ion where as we are given three samples containing chloride, bromide, and iodide ions seprately???

Using silver nitrate solution, acidify the solution with dilute nitric acid . Add silver nitrate to the sample solution in three different test tubes, chloride ,bromide and iodide will form White insoluble precipitate

Add ammonia solution to the precipitate bromine and iodide precipitate will be insoluble while chloride precipitate dissolve in ammonia solution.
