How can we determine the sample that is containing chloride ion where as we are given three samples containing chloride, bromide, and iodide ions seprately???

The simplest method is to add silver nitrate solution to samples solutions:

$I^-+AgNO_3 =>AgI + NO_3^-$ AgI is a yellow precipitate

$Br^-+AgNO_3 =>AgBr + NO_3^-$ AgBr is a yellowish precipitate

$Cl^-+AgNO_3 =>AgCl + NO_3^-$ AgCl is a white precipitate
