Schitosoma hematabium this is considered as the major agent of schistosomiasis. These are bacteria which grow where there is stagnant or slow moving fresh water where infected bulinus snails live. The eggs hatch 15minutes whereby the larvae called miracidia is formed. Schistosomes releases eggs in the intestines, then releases others in the urinary track and there after excretes along with the urine.

Infected schistosomiasis also termed as bilharzia is a parasitic disease which is produced by trematodes which are from genus schistosoma. These are the most prevalent parasitic infection in human. It infects the urinary tracks causing urinary schistosomiasis and can cause bladder cancer. It is as well known in causing kidney damage. These species are found in Middle East and also in Africa. At most people who usually get infected it happens during routine agricultural, occupational or else during recreational activities which usually exposes them towards the invested water. Also children can get infected during swimming sections whereby they get into contact with infested water which can be vulnerable to infection

Characteristics involves of pathogenicity include: They may have capsule. This capsule prevents bacterial cell from being phagocytosed. Consist of enzymes like coagulase which are capable to clot blood. They produce many toxins for example syndrome toxins, exfoliation, among many which produce pathogenic bacteria.
