i) An automated machine, which computer programmable and capable to carry out the a complex set of action and also reduce the human effort and perform human like action that is called robot.

ii) The advantage of the robots over human works:

• It provides the safety, for example, now days robots are used in the deep coal mines and other research work.
• Perfection: The work performed by computer is much perfect and time saving.
• Speed: The productivity speed can be increased with the help of robot and also can save lots of money. For example- JCB mechine, Tracktor etc are the best example.
