A multinational company opens multiple branches all over that Pakistan. If you are hired to design the networking from the company, what type of network you will select? What type of network topology will be suitable for the linking different branches or different department inside the single company branch? List down the network equipment you may require during this implementation.

Wide Area Network (WAN) is the most suitable network for this organization. WAN can connect devices over a wide geographical area.

Star topology is the most suitable topology for a multinational organization. This because; it is easy to install and wire. If the network switch fails, nodes attached are disabled and cannot participate in the communication. There is no disruption of the network when a device is removed or installed; it is cost-effective and has centralized access.

Types of equipment required for implementation are;

Router- for interconnection of devices and enable communication.

Firewall- to protect the network from unauthorized access.

Internet connection.

Wi-Fi access point- to provide WIFI connection via tablets and smartphone.

Cable and connectors to connect devices.
