What type of network topology will be suitable for the linking different branches or different department inside the single company branch? A Wide Area Network (WAN) will best suit a multinational company that is opening up branches. WAN is a telecommunication network whose primary purpose is to connect computers over a wide geographical area.

A mesh topology is best suited for this organization because every other computer device is connected through a point-to-point link. Mesh topology is a good option because; there are no data traffic issues, and it is secure because no unauthorized access due to a point-to-point link. It is reliable as a failure in one link does not affect others, and fault detection is easy.

Network equipment required during this implementation;

Router – to ensure device communication.

Internet connection - could be a dedicated lease line or fiber connection.

Cable and connectors to link devices.

Hardware firewall for security purposes.
