Answer to Question #184417 in Quantum Mechanics for Gašper Peklaj

Question #184417

Hello,

I dont really have anyone else to ask the questions that I am thinking about and I am the first to admit that they are just shower thoughts but the engineering, laws and structure of natural laws is very interesting to me so here goes.

First question is if my understanding of quantum entanglement is correct?

As far as I understand, some particles are connected on a quantum level, that appears to brake the speed of light. They have to be made together but can then be separated as far apart as possible and the entanglement is still active. But the catch is that until we observe the system we can not gain any information out of it and once we do it is completely random what kind of a state the system will take, the only guarantee is that if we look at particle A and it has a up spin then particle B will definitely have a down spin or simply it will take the opposite value that its brother.

Thank you for your time and have a nice day
