As we know, the tides caused by the gravitational pull of the Moon and Sun. The ocean water is pulling in the direction of the Moon (or the Sun) and formed the tidal bulge. The bigger the area, the bigger the pulling effect and the tidal bulge. But since the ponds or pulls have little area compare to the oceans or seas, the pull is not so much and the tides aren’t generated.
