Answer to Question #65022 in Physics for Helen

Question #65022
Three point charges are arranged in a right triangle. The bottom left charge is located
at the origin (0,0) and has a charge of +5.0 µC, the bottom right charge is on the
x-axis a distance of 1 m away (1,0) and has a charge of −3.0 µC, and the third charge
is 1 m to the right and 1 m up from the origin (1,1) and has a charge of +6.0 µC
(diagram provided). Find the electric field vector (both magnitude and direction) at
the origin, and use it to determine the force on the +5.0 µC charge located at the origin.
⊕ + 6.0µC
(1.0, 1.0)
⊕ + 5.0µC − 3.0µC
(0.0, 0.0) (1.0, 0.0)
