Question

When you poke a pinhole though a screen, and shine a flashlight through the hole, the light is not going through a lens. Why, then, is the image on the white surface larger than the size of the pinhole?

It appears larger, as a small pinhole works as a small lens (it inverts all the rays which falls on it)
