Answer on Optics Question for kirsten

Question #2856
An object is 30 cm from a concave mirror of 15 cm focal length. The object is 1.8 cm high. Find the location of the image and its height.
Expert's answer
The formula of concave mirror is
1/f = 1/d0 + 1/d1
-1/15 = -1/30 + 1/d1
d1 = -15
Thus the image would be at the same distance as the object, so the height is the same but the image is inverted.
