Consider two process, which have contributed to collapses the bottle. In the first case, the bottle is a thermoplastic. When we pour a bottle with hot water the plastic becomes more plastic, and will deform. In the second case, the hot water made steam. The pressure inside the bottle becomes less than atmospheric pressure. The bottle is destroyed due to the pressure difference.
