an alternating current is a current that changes direction and magnitude over time with a certain period. DC is a current that does not change direction and magnitude over time. This is the main difference and leads to the use of alternating current in experiments with heating and cooling. This makes it possible to eliminate the uneven heating due to the fact that alternating current is a reverse oscillation of the particles, and also allows the most accurate control of the steps when raising and lowering the temperature, specifying the frequency of the current, and hence the period of changing the direction and magnitude of the current. This last circumstance makes it possible to most simply calculate the values of the points of the curves according to Newton's law.
