Answer to Question #16218 in Mechanics | Relativity for Richard

Question #16218
Given: A racquetball must strike a wall and floor simultaneously to be classified as a "crotch shot". Assume: (1) the ball is perfectly round and not spinning, (2) the floor and wall are perfectly flat, smooth and perpendicular to each other. Can this happen only if the flight of the ball is at a 45 degree angle to both the floor and wall? In other words, is it possible to have a simultaneous hit of both surfaces at any other angle, e.g., 60 degrees, 22 degrees, etc. Would appreciate a diagram or formula proof, not just a Yes or No answer.
