The logic behind working of siphon is "water seeks its level" and which means that water has tendency to flow until all of its at the same level is related to potential energy ,so longer the length of the tube higher will be the value of the potential energy and like every system water also wants to reduce its gravitational potential so it travels in a direction where potential energy decreases and when the potential energy is higher then the rate of water pouring out will be higher
