Answer to Question #49072 in Electricity and Magnetism for Taylor

Question #49072
You hold a positive charge in your hard. What could you do to change the electromagnetic field 100 meters away from your charge?

You perform the operation you suggest in the question above. What will happen to an electron on a metal ball 100 meters away from your charge?

We can change the electromagnetic field bychanging the distance from point at 100 meters away (we change electric field
of our charge) or by moving the charge with acceleration (we induct magnetic
field).
If we decrease the distance an electron ona metal ball would be located on the nearest side of the ball. If electron doesn’t
move the magnetic field doesn’t act on it.
