It is a bit confused question that most people answer this question wrong. And also I will try to explain my answer below:


Firstly, we need to recognise that what is the question going about and what are adjacent and opposite parts.

if we think that a is an adjacent part to the c, then they should cross each other at least one point otherwise they are considered as opposite parts.



In this case, we have only two adjacent parts and no opposite parts. Becouse a and b across c (hypotenuse) and so they are considered as adjecent parts.
