When we toss a coin, there are two possibly outcomes. It can be a head or a tail. By assuming that the coin is fair, heads and tails are equally likely. The probability of a coin toss coming up heads is 1/2, or 0.5. The probability of a coin toss coming up tails is 1/2, or 0.5.
