Continuous Data is data that can take any form of a value. It is not restricted to one form. This can be Height, Weight and Temperature. They are then measured within a specific time interval since they can change over time.

Example

A child's height may change when they are 5years and when they are 7years.

Discrete Data is data that can only take certain values. They deal with numerals and are categorical. This type of data can be determined by counting.

Example

A child might be having different types of fruits. She/he is going to know which type of fruits she/he has and how many they are by counting. The results may be 2 apples,4 mangoes and 3 bananas.
