All problems can be described in the following way: we have a set of certain known variables connected with each other and we are asked to use these variables to find a set of underfunded variables which have connection with the known ones.

We use our knowledge of the way the variables are connected with each other and maths operations to process the data we have, i.e. to get the answer, or to make the unknown variables known ones.

Then we get the answer. How to check whether it's right?

Since our unknown variables are now determined, we can check whether the solution is correct by solving similar problem saying that one of the previously known given variables is not determined anymore and needs to be found. If we solved the problem right, the value we've just found will be the same as the initially known vague.

This happens because the connection between all these values does not change for the same event. For instance, if the initial problem was to calculate the acceleration of a 40-kg body caused by the force of 100 Newtons, the solution for the reversed problem "what force is required to move 40-kg object with 2.5 m/s/s we'll be exactly 100 N.
