Using formula:

 Mass by Volume percentage =(Mass of solute in grams/Volume of infusion fluid in ml) x 100%

0.5% =( Mass of solute in grams/Volume of infusion fluid in ml) x 100%

Mass of the medication per 1 ml is equal 0.5/100 grams = 0.005 grams = 5 mg.

To administer required dose we need 50/5 ml = 10 ml of infusion fluid.

Answer: 10 ml.
