Let x be quantity of trucks,
so 5x will be quantity of cars. The total amount of trucks and cars was x+5x on the one hand, and it was 30 on the other hand. Equate the same amounts and obtain equation
5x+x = 30, collect similar terms,
6x=30, divide both sides by 5,
x = 5
So, she saw 5 trucks.
