Question

Chong have organised a concert and contracted with a local artist singer to perform at the concert. Chong have incurred a lot of expenditure and have even paid the singer RM 8000.00 as a deposit. Now, the singer is unable to perform due to throat operation which jeopardises his singing. The concert had to be cancelled.
Advise Chong to his legal position.
