Paralegals work in many different settings. Choose three different types of law office settings or three different paralegal specialties, and discuss the pros and cons of working as a paralegal in each. If given a choice, in what type of office would you like to work? Why?
If you watch television or read the news, you know more about the law than you think. An average layperson usually learns about court cases by watching news channels, reading articles in newspapers, or browsing the Internet. Using one of these media, find a civil case that sparks your interest. State the names of the plaintiff(s) and defendant(s) along with a brief description of the facts of the case. If given a choice, would you rather work for the firm representing the defendant or for the firm representing the plaintiff? Complete the assignment in three to four paragraphs. Support your answer with proper reason and examples.
