The impacts on the earth's internal processes are a liability than assets to humans because the earth is our home. Yes, seems like we can impact of change the internal processes of the earth, but can we then change it back if necessary? Human activities increased the temperature, led to the lack of fossil fuels, changes ocean streams, poisoned nature. If we continue this, our descendants will have nowhere to live and their quality of life will become much worse than ours. Thus, we need to care about the planet, not rule it.
