The temperature can either increase or decrease the relative humidity. Relative humidity is the measure of water vapor carrying capacity of air. An increase in temperature lowers relative humidity, implying that the capacity of holding water vapor increases. However, when temperature decreases the capacity decreases and water vapor approaches dew point where the water vapor settles on surfaces as water droplets.
