If the distance between two points is 50mm on a 1: 10 000 map,what would the distance in cm on a 1:50 000 map be ? Answer in mm.

A 1:50 000 map contains 5 times more details than a 1:10 000 in one centimetre, therefore, the distance between the points on the second map will be 5 times less, that is, 10 mm.
