Assume a 4-bit shift register using D flip flop which will take one clock cycle for loading the data and 3 clock cycles for getting the output, Identify the type of shift register and describe its operation with a diagram
As a result, a 4-bit SIPO register uses 4 clock pulses since it requires n clock pulses to input n bit of data. A basic Shift Register may be constructed using just D-type flip-flops, one for each data bit. Each flip-output flop's is linked to the D input of the flip-flop on its right. Shift registers store data in memory that is transferred or "shifted" to the proper places on each clock pulse.
