The behaviors of inductor, capacitor and resistor are affected by temperature. When these components get heated up, their atomic structure becomes altered or the atoms becomes agitated or sluggish. This changes the electrical properties of the components. Also, semiconductors shows a similar characteristic when heated. The increased temperature changes the holes-electrons configuration. Hence, change in its electrical feature. Overall, this causes over-performance, under-performance or shutdown of the whole system.
