 These subjects are related to Engineering and science branch . So before to define them it is necessary to know the meaning of engineering and science. 

 Engineering is used to apply natural laws to solution of practical problems so we can say it is a part of science .where as the science is related to describe any problem with the use of theory or experiments to develop natural laws. 

CIVIL ENGINEERING 

it is the professional discipline in engineering field which deals with the construction of roads ,structures like buildings,Bridges etc .Moreover it deals with the testing of soils to determine whether conditions are fit or not for any structure . It also includes the construction management. Civil engineering comprises of several sub categories like hydraulics ,environmental etc. Basically environmental engineering is a sub category of civil engineering. 

Environmental Engineering

This sub discipline of Civil Engineering deals with the environmental issues only .For example water and air pollution .It includes the measures to application of solutions to these problems . This part of subject offers the society to meet the challenges of Global resource limitations and human natural impacts . 

 

Environmental science 

 This subject is used to create the natural laws for any problem related to Environment. The application of these natural laws will then be defined in Environmental Engineering. For an environmental engineering , the knowledge of environmental science is necessary . 

 This field consists of physical, biological study of environment . This subject is used to study the cause of problem and to create a solution for them but didn’t consider their application.

 

The relationship among the Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science and civil engineering can be understood by following example:-

 study of cause of water pollution is included in Environmental science and it is same subject which offers solution for the cause , the application of the solution to the problem is included in Environmental Engineering and the structures needed to apply these solutions is included in Civil engineering.
