There are various units in waste water treatment plant. To gather all units is used to treat the waste water. Some times all unit is not required to treat the waste water. Which unit is required to treat the water depending upon the type of industries through which waste water comes out and hence require to treat up to desire limits prior to discharge in river or disposable point. All units having unit operation and unit process in order to treat the water once the water moves through that unit. Unit operation is the physical treatment of water and unit process is the chemical treatment of water. The different types of unit operation and unit process in chronological order of treatment are intake, screening, skimming,grit chamber, sedimentation tank, aeration tank, secondary sedimentation tank, nitrification, denitrification tank, chlorination, de chlorination tank
