The proximate analysis of the coal burnt in the furnace is 1.44% moisture, 34.61% volatile matter, 57.77% fixed carbon, and 6.18% ash. Heating value of the coal is 14,350 BTU/lb. This coal is also known to contain 0.78% sulfur and 1.3% N. The volatile matter of the dry refuse is 4% and the fixed carbon 21%. Air in the boiler room has a temperature of 74°F, and is 65% saturated with water vapor. The barometer is 29.7 in Hg. Compute:
