Liberalization of world trade in goods and services is manifested in a tendency towards the erosion of customs barriers, removal of quantitative restrictions on trade between countries.

Protectionism is a government policy aimed at supporting domestic producers by restricting imports.

Personally, I would choose liberalization, since it is an indirect incentive for competition, which leads to an improvement in the quality of goods and a reduction in prices, which occurs due to the introduction of new technologies and scientific and technological progress.
