State the structure of agriculture in Ghana
Agriculture employs about 44% of the working-age population (2013), it provides about 20% of GDP. The main agricultural crop is cocoa beans, for the collection of which (736 thousand tons, 2005) the country ranks 2nd in the world after Cote 'd'Ivoire. The area under cocoa beans is more than half of the country's cultivated land. Yams (3.9 million tons), cassava (9.7 million tons), corn (1.1 million tons), rice (241.8 thousand tons), tomatoes (200 thousand tons), and oranges (300 thousand tons). Forestry is developed, valuable species of wood are exported - vava, mahogany, Odum, Sapele, and waste. About 450 thousand tons of fish are caught annually.
