In liquids, interactions between molecular are stronger than in gases and weaker than in solids. Attractive forces between molecules in liquids are strong enough to hold specific volume. As a result, particles can flow or glide over other molecules and move around each other. However, they are close together and cannot be compressed compared to gases. On the other hand, the forces are not able to form a solid where particles have regular arrangement.
