U3O8 is a catalyst, prepared by heating a uranium nitrate salt, UO2(NO3)2. This salt decomposes quantitatively to give U3O8, NO2 and O2 only. How many moles of O2 are produced from 1 mole of the salt?

3 UO2(NO3)2 --->U3O8 +6 NO2+2 O2 amount is proportional to coefficients,so when 3 moles of UO2(NO3)2 produced 2 moles of O2, 1moles will be produce 2/3 moles.
