Answer to Question #37814 in Physical Chemistry for TONE
subect: heating value fuel
I have a question about HHV(HIGHER HEAING VALUE) &NHV(NET OR LOWER HEATING VALUE) IN FUELS.I KNOW DIFFERENT IS ABOUT WATER. BUT WHEN WE USE HHV OR NHV IN INDUSTRY? OR WHAT IS APPLICATION HHV OR NHV?
HHV and NHV values are widely used in industry. The usage of them depends on the aggregate state of the reaction products. If the products are gaseous, then NHV should be used. While if the system turn to equilibrium, the HHV is applicable.
