Every person in everyday life collides with the problem of measuring some objects and things. We look at the barometer that measures atmospheric pressure. We measure body temperature and blood pressure. When we do repairs, we measure the size of the room.
The measurements were the basis for relations between people, with the surrounding objects, nature during all the way of the development of human society. That generated a common understanding of the extent, forms, properties of objects and phenomena, as well as the rules and methods of comparison.
With the development of industrial production the requirements for handling and storage measures increased. Increasing accuracy of measurements allows us to determine the shortcomings of various technological processes and to address these shortcomings. All this eventually leads to the increasing product quality, save energy and thermal resources, as well as raw materials.
