i) CH3COOH(aq) = H+(aq) + CH3CO2-(aq)

CH3COONa(aq) --> Na+(aq) + CH3CO2-(aq)

ii) In water, HCl dissociates into H+ and Cl-. In this case, the first equilibrium will shift to the left. Protons (H+) will react with acetate ion producing acetic acid CH3COOH(aq) while Cl- inos will be in equilibrium with Na+.
