Given : P = 40 bar $G/RT$ = 5.0 G^ig/RT  =5.8

We kow that   G^R = RTln(f_i/P) ⟹ (G − G_ig) =RTln(f_i/P) ⟹

(G/RT - G^R/RT) =ln(f_i/P) ⟹ (5.0 −5.8)= ln(f_i/P)  ⟹

ln(f_i/P) = −0.8 ⟹ f_i/P = exp^−0.8  ⟹ f_i = P x exp^−0.8  = 40×exp^−0.8 = 17.98 bar
