Limitations of fridel craft raaction in alkylation?

There are two main limitations:
1) Acceptor groups deactivate the aromatic ring (like NO2, NO, CN, COOR).
2) Some groups containing free electron pairs deactivate the catalyst (like OH, NH2). They form an inactive complex with the catalyst.
