Answer to Question #67684 in Organic Chemistry for Jhon

Question #67684
Three potential drug molecules have recently been developed. They have been shown to be biologically active at the adrenergic receptors, either as agonists or as antagonists. The selectivity of these molecules towards the adrenergic receptor subtypes α, β1 and β2 varies for each of these potential drugs.

Compound A – weak α agonist, strong β1 antagonist and weak β2 antagonist
Compound B – weak α antagonist, weak β1 agonist and weak β2 antagonist
Compound C – strong α agonist, strong β1 agonist and strong β2 agonist

Fully rationalize which, if any, of the three drugs would be the most useful for the prevention of heart attacks, and which, if any, would be the most useful for the treatment/prevention of asthma. Remember to think about any potential side effects the compounds may promote
