Answer to Question #32725 in Organic Chemistry for ABCD
sir, i have a big confusion how to convert a aldehyde into an alkane when a acid sensitive and base sensitive groups are present in a molecule simultaneously. It appears to me that clemmensens reduction and wolff kisher reaction seem to fail.
Reduction by wolff kisher reaction is the only one way to obtain alkane from aldehyd. Some functional groups may also react. Show please the structure of your compound to obtain exact answer and recommendations.
Thanks so much, it runs perfectly you saved me a lot of stress. You gave good quality service and I won't hesitate to recommend you to my other friends who don't have the time to get projects like these done.
