Number of moles is directly proportional to the volume according to Ideal Gas Law:


"PV =nRT"

There is no information about pressure or temperature change during the leakage, therefore me make an assumption the neither temperature nor pressure change.

As number of neon atoms decreased two times then the volume also decreased two times:


"V_{final} = \\frac{V_{initial}}{2} = \\frac{8.50}{2} = 4.25 L"
