If acid is added to suspension for pH control, does the particles reacts with that acid?? Means are the particles affected by adding acid to suspension?

What if I have dissolved 10g of HA in propanol and I want to adjust pH by adding nitric acid, then will the particles react with acid in this case?? coz i have a doubt that it might depend on the mass of particles
