Group II elements have the radii increases while moving down the group. This due to the fact, that new shells get added and there is an increase in screening effect magnitude of the inner shell electrons. The higher the shielding effect the lower the ionization energy.
Answer => The ionization energy down the group decreases.

IE 1(Be) = 899 kJ mol-1
IE 1(Mg) = 737 kJ mol-1
IE 1(Ca) = 590 kJ mol-1 ....
