Answer to Question #48155 in Inorganic Chemistry for Olivia Paulin

Question #48155
Hey, Im doing an Advanced HIgher chemistry investigation on 'the alteration of factors that affect hair dye uptake' and im really stuck!

I plan to alter factors such as ph(which i will use a titration for), the water/alcohol partition coefficient, inhibitors of molecule groups and surfactants.

Does anyone know how I would alter the partition coefficient of hair dye and test it? I will obviously quantitative results but have no clue how to do this. Also i cant seem to find any inhibitors of molecules such as ammonia, the hydroxyl group, the amine group and hydrogen peroxide, does anyone know of any?? and how i would carry this out too.

Please help, im desperate!!! thanks
