Not all of these metals can react with HNO3 with producing some nitrates of this metals. Tin reacts with forming SnO2. It is colourless but not soluble into water. (It's look like white). Nitrate of nickel is highly soluble in water, giving emerald green solutions. Colour will be caused by mixing of this compounds. Resulting colour is lime.
