PV = nRT

V = ????
n = 1 mol
R = 8.206 x 10^-2 L atm/mol K
T = 273.15 K

rearrange for V

V = nRT/P

plug in the above and you will get 22.4 L

If1 mole occupies --------------22.4 liters at STP
X mol will occupy 500 L atSTP

X =500L*1mole/22.4L = 22.3 mol
