Why does Magnesium Carbonate decompose at a cooler temperature at a cooler temperature than sodium carbonate?

Because the strength of the chemical bond between the compound containing calcium are stronger than between magnesium in a similar compound. Therefore, to break those bond (in the case of magnesium) need less energy (and less temperature).
